A Week of Technical Contributions Highlighting Brazil’s Leadership in the Power Sector
Conprove successfully concluded its participation in the CIGRE SC B5 2025 Colloquium, held from June 30 to July 6 in Osaka, Japan. The event brought together leading experts from around the world to discuss the future of Protection, Automation, and Control Systems (PACS), with a focus on digital technologies and IEC 61850-based interoperability.

🔹 Participation in Working Group B5.86
Paulo Jr., Director of Conprove, represented Brazil in the WG B5.86 discussions, focused on monitoring PAC systems through innovative technologies. Brazil’s contributions were highly relevant and influential in shaping international guidelines for the implementation of future-ready digital substations.
🔹 Poster Session Presentation
During the poster session, Conprove presented the technical paper titled:
“Experiences in Interoperability Testing of IEDs focusing on Time Synchronization Behavior”.
The study addressed time synchronization challenges between IEDs from different vendors in IEC 61850 environments. This research raised critical practical issues regarding system reliability, and was praised for its depth and technical relevance.
