POWER TRANSFORMERS TESTING

Power transformers are equipment intended for the transmission of power between the various systems that make up the electrical network, adjusting the voltage and current levels of these systems. As they play a very important role in the electrical network, it is essential to periodically carry out tests on this equipment, in order to diagnose possible occurrences of malfunction and maintenance needs.

In this context, Conprove has developed a line of universal testers that, in addition to carrying out tests at the secondary level (relays, meters, power quality analyzer, etc.) also carries out tests at the primary level, which involves the possibility of testing the power transformers. Among the tests made possible, we can highlight:

  • Single-phase transformation ratio test, checking the angular lag between high and low;
  • Three-phase transformation ratio test, checking the angular lag between high and low with the possibility of automatic tap switching;
  • Measurement of winding ohmic resistance;
  • Verification of dielectric supportability by voltage (2 kVac).
