Description
The CE-TW1 is lightweight and portable equipment that, together with the CE-7012, CE-6710 or CE-6707 test set, enables traveling wave tests in protection relays and disturbance recorders. It is a versatile tool capable of applying single or multiple terminal methods, without the need for special adjustments or controls, as it fully reproduces the simulated voltage and current waveforms for the fault under analysis.
The CE-TW1 equipment has 6 generation channels, 3 voltage and 3 current, compatible for direct injection into the inputs of the tested devices (no bypass or special assemblies required) making the tests faster, more practical and reliable. Each of the channels is capable of faithfully reproducing the desired waveforms in a wide spectrum of frequencies, meeting the demands of the test.
Tests are carried out using PS Simul software, which allows you to realistically model electrical systems and ensure coherent responses of all signals. It also allows you to play COMTRADE and ATP files with high fidelity, in addition to having full integration with the test set, CE-TW1 and CE-GPS, necessary for carrying out the tests.
In traveling wave tests, the system reproduces both the first wave front and its reflections, simulating a real event. This makes it possible to locate the fault more accurately and still allows the single terminal and multiple terminals calculation algorithms to operate together and simultaneously.
