The CE-GPS is a lightweight and portable synchronization unit that receives signals from 12 GPS satellites (Global Positioning System). It was designed to be used in tests that require time synchronization, related to the IEC 61850 standard, test with PMU’s and protection test.
In end-to-end line protection tests, that is, where teleprotection exists. It is vital that both IEDs (Intelligent Electronic Devices) at the end of the line visualize the same situation, so it is essential to use a GPS to synchronize the test trigger.
The CE-GPS is controlled by the same software used in the test sets, the CTC (Conprove Test Center), whose configuration is extremely simple. It can be used in full with the CE-6003, CE-6006, CE-6707, CE-6710, CE-7012 and CE-7024 models.
The CE-GPS has a resolution of 100 ns and high precision, better than 10 ns with jitter less than 5 ns, which makes it the ideal equipment to perform an end-to-end test. It allows an extremely stable synchronization, keeping the generation synchronized for long periods of time. In addition, it has automatic redispersion configuration, freeing the user to configure them each generation. It also has an extremely sensitive GPS receiver, which allows synchronization in the best accuracy even in a closed environment.
