[PT/EN] Hoje trazemos o trabalho apresentado no Cigrè Bienal de 2020 – O estudo intitula-se: “Analyzing the limits of data transmission in the process bus”
Este trabalho teve como objetivo discutir os limites de transmissão de dados no Barramento de Processo, ou seja, a largura de banda da rede ocupada pelos Sampled Values (SV) divulgados por meio de uma Merging Unit (MU). Questões como o uso de vLANs, a configuração do frame do SV baseado nos formatos IEC 61850-9-2-LE ou IEC 61869-9, bem como o número máximo de MUs permitidos na rede foram abordados nos testes realizados. Uma equação foi deduzida para auxiliar na análise otimizada da largura de banda de rede disponível para o Barramento de Processo.

Today we bring you the work presented at the 2020 Cigrè Biennial – The study is entitled: “Analyzing the limits of data transmission in the Process Bus”
This paper aims to discuss the limits of data transmission in the Process Bus, i.e., the network bandwidth occupied by the Sampled Values (SV) published through a Merging Unit (MU). Issues like the use of VLANs, the SV frame configuration based on IEC 61850-9-2-LE or IEC 61869-9 formats as well as the maximum number of MUs allowed on the network were approached on the tests done. An equation was deduced in order to assist optimized analysis of the available network bandwidth for the Process Bus.
